There was a problem filtering reviews right now. I bought other types of filament to see what worked the best. Let me give you a heads up, if you are going to use ABS It’s a headache.. I did some ABS prints and they came out great but again.. I also found that about middle of the road for temperature depending on what the filament calls for is what worked for me.

Once the print would start I would up the bed temp to 80c. The bed would only get to around 78c. For ABS to work I had also used an Elmer’s glue stick on my blue 3m masking tape covered bed to get it to stick. Again, stick with PLA.

Oh I failed to mention, when the initial masking tape comes off the bed plate which it will, you can cover it back up with 3M blue masking tape, the same kind you use when you paint. Since I have played, I can pretty much tell by what I am printing what setting I should use. I can only suggest that you play around and watch a lot of videos. At this price and for a single spool of filament you should be having fun and learning. I have since moved on from using Cura and am now using Simplify3d which is rather pricey but I really like it.

The small build plate is a challenge as a lot of models that you may want to print will be much bigger. Scaling has its issues. Trying to take off supports when the part of the model it is connected to can be tricky. I included a picture of my latest print Not sure why it shows up on Amazon sideways. This had to be scaled down significantly from the original and lost some detail in regards to the terminator’s hydraulics around the mouth and back of the head. But if you want to print bigger, you are going to spend a lot more on a printer.

I am pushing this thing to its limits and I am coming out with some great prints. Resolution is outstanding, and it’s amazingly simple to set up and use immediately IF you follow the instructions in the manual and tutorials on the Official Monoprice Youtube channel. Bed leveling does not mean physically level, but that the print bed is equal to the hot print end. It only took me about 10 minutes to do, and all my prints have come out amazing for 2 solid days now, it’s done about 14 hours of printing already and I have had NO fails yet – it’ll happen.

Things you will want to do to save time and frustration: 1. The sample filament that comes with it will get used in about 30 min on one print, you will want 2. You can order these on Amazon as well. Download the latest version of Ultimaker Cura in advance of the unit showing up, and get familliar with how to use it to convert files from Thingiverse. Get a 2″ putty knife for removal of prints. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to try out 3D printing at a very low price point. I wasn’t expecting such good output from something so cheaply priced. The build of the unit is solid as well. When I got it I was so excited, everything was set up and all I needed to do is plug it in and level the bed.

I did so and it printed amazingly. I printed the test cat and I was completely blown away. I can’t describe it other than you are basically creating something from ‘nothing’. It’s not needed and it will screw up you temperatures. The blue stock print surface works great. Don’t listen to all the idiot’s out there that recomend all kinds of other stuff, glass, PEI, Kapton, etc. The key is keeping your surface clean.

Clean with denatured alcohol after each print. Let dry. Always use a raft. I don’t care what they say about not using one.

When it’s truly not sticking anymore replace with a new one. I get about 20 prints before I need to replace. Always preheat. That is so important. Both bed and extruder. OK so here are some cons: 1.

Nozzles will need to be replaced at some point. The two nozzles are more than likely NOT at the same height. What this means is that one may “knock” into the other “structures” when printing and ruin the print. The solution here is either remove extruders and rebalance the nozzles or remove the nozzle of the extruder you dont use. Either solution is simple, about 10 min total time.

Balancing the table takes several attempts. I use feeler guages. They are more accurate. Loading and unloading the filament becomes a chore, but it’s something that needs to be done. The table is actually small, as your appetite for bigger projects grows. You will have to get creative wit layouts. The cooling could be improved. Several mods are available online. Do not use the provided spools. The quality is very low and it has led to numerous clogs. Overall I love this printer. Yes, some things could be improved but the only 3d printer I would consider to be better than this one is the makergear m2.

I also own that one. It’s very good but also twice the price. I still find myself using the flashforge over the m2 more often than not. The m2 is great for bigger projects. I would recommend the Creator pro to anyone starting or wanting a more reliable 3d printer. Don’t waste your money and time on anything else. I love this machine.

It’s broken the next day. One of the white wires caught on fire. I called FlashForge repeatedly. After several attempts, they refused to take responsibility. They said, since I purchased this through Amazon, they’ll not responsible for any damage or support.

I had a Flashforge Finder that I started my 3D printing journey on. I saw this printer on sale during Amazon’s Cyber Monday sale and couldn’t resist pulling the trigger on it.

This is a upgrade from the Finder, not only because of the dual nozzles, but bigger build area and a heated build plate. Also, while the build plate is not removable on this printer, it’s more level- stable that the Finder’s build plate, about as stable as the glass build plate on the BIBO, and not as stable as the build plate on the Sindoh. The included plate stickers work well, I haven’t had any issues with prints not sticking or sticking too well to them.

Since this utilizes Flashprint slicer, I picked that right up since the Finder utilizes that slicer. In terms of operational reliability, the Sindoh WAS at the top of my list before it broke itself. This Creator Pro is second on the list.

I haven’t had the BIBO for very long so it still gets babysat closely. The Finder ran reliably too. The Sindoh was far and away the quietest printer I’ve used.

The BIBO is acceptable, some stepper movements are noisier than usual. The Finder was fairly quiet. This Creator Pro is easily the noisiest printer of the bunch.
