Insert today’s date in a Word document – Microsoft Support.

 
So first, all you have to do is open the Word document you want to work on. Then, click on the part of the document where you want to insert a date and time. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Date & Time. In the Date and time dialog box, select the format you want and click OK. The date is inserted as text.
